Leadership Imperative

Monica and Gilles are the heart and brains behind Leadership Imperative. They are corporate coaches who teach companies the art of conscious leadership techniques. These methods help companies foster a healthy, respectful workplace using techniques that encourages communication, empathy and respect among management and employees. They help companies create an environment that is pleasant to work in and helps them be more effective and productive.

When Monica first approached me to create photos for their new website they were about to launch, she was asking me for simple headshots of herself and her partner, Gilles. During our discussion, it was decided that they needed a bit more to show who they are and what they do so we upgraded to a full branding session. 

I set up a meeting between her, Gilles and their assistant Lilly who was helping them with their website. We discussed their goals and the intention and vibe they wanted to create.  Since they are coaches and are all about fostering a healthy, calm environment it was decided that we needed a green space. They envisioned themselves photographed on a path walking together. I scouted locations in Montreal and found that Angringon Park was the perfect location with plenty of green and beautiful paths and bridges overlooking the water. Our session started off at Monica’s house where we did more formal portraits and some that showed their fun working relationship. After shooting those, we ended at the park where we created the perfect photos to show who the people are behind the company and the vibe they wanted to convey to their clients.
